After sending a laptop to Lenovo for warranty repair, I was given the option to re-format the SSD drive and lose everything or return as is. Fortunately I choose return as-is. I dropped the SSD drive off at Recovery Force and had all my data recovered next day with the added service of repairing the Windows install so the original disk was bootable to allow me to take a system image back-up.
