SandForce SSD Data Recovery
Expert evaluation for SF-2281 and other notoriously difficult SandForce controllers.
The SandForce Challenge
SandForce controllers (specifically the SF-2281 series) are among the most difficult SSD architectures in the data recovery industry. Due to their heavy reliance on hardware-level encryption and proprietary firmware compression, standard firmware "bypass" methods used on other controllers often fail here.
Our Approach
- Electrical Diagnostics: We verify if the failure is circuit-based or controller-based.
- Proprietary Power Sequencing: Techniques to bypass certain state-level lockups.
- NAND Level Evaluation: Direct chip communication to check for cell degradation.
Is it worth the attempt?
While the success rate is lower compared to Silicon Motion or Phison controllers, if the data is critical, a lab evaluation is the only way to know if your drive falls within that 10% success window. We follow a No Data, No Recovery Fee policy—if we can't rescue your files, you don't pay the recovery fee.
