RECOVERY FORCE AND NORTEK PURSUE GROWING MARKET
Guelph, ON - A new strategic alliance between Nortek Computers Ltd. of North Bay and Recovery Force Inc. of Guelph will deliver enhanced data recovery and storage service and devices to their customers worldwide.
“Nortek has four world-class clean rooms, and will become our exclusive provider of high-end, clean room data recovery services,” says Doug Coughey, Recovery Force president.
Clean rooms are contaminant free spaces that allow Nortek to perform physical repairs to storage media.
Under the terms of the agreement, the firms will jointly market the repair, refurbishment and remanufacture of high-end storage devices, password recovery services, data sanitization and innovative and cost-effective solutions for any data loss situation.
“There is a natural fit between the two companies,” says Nortek President Bob Everest. “There are tremendous growth opportunities in data recovery and storage products. This agreement opens a new channel for marketing our advanced data solutions to a growing customer base.”
Companies are storing more and more data digitally. As the volume of digital information grows, so does the complexity of managing this ever-expanding library as well as the importance of safeguarding the vital business information it contains.
“This alliance is the next logical step for both Nortek and Recovery Force to meet the future needs of our customers and the market,” says Everest.
“It has been stated that: ‘34% of companies fail to test their tape backups, and of those that do, 77% have found tape backup failures.’ Coughey asks the question: ‘Why is there such a need for our services if backups are working properly?”
