Western Digital ROYL Series PCB Issues:
Since Western Digital has migrated from the Marvell chipset to the Royl chipset, Recovery Force has noticed a very high percentage of these drives with PCB issues. Depending on the size of the drive, the availability of parts and possible media and file damage, prices tend to range between $500 and $1000 for drives with these symptoms. It is not unusual for these drives to have similar symptoms, but different issues with the read/write heads, which tend to be priced between $750 and $1250.
In the event that your Western Digital hard drive is not in this family or has other issues, we will identify them within our free assessment and will provide a precise quote once the assessment has been completed.
